Health and Safety Policy Statement
Our statement of general policy is:
Prichard’s is committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and welfare for all employees, contractors, visitors, and others who may be affected by our operations. We firmly believe that no task is so important that it cannot be carried out safely.
We operate a certified Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) in accordance with ISO 45001:2018, which supports our commitment to legal compliance, the prevention of work-related injury and ill health, and continual improvement in all aspects of health and safety performance.
Our Health and Safety Objectives Are to:
Provide a professional and safe working environment across all operations.
Eliminate hazards and reduce occupational health and safety risks using the hierarchy of controls.
Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and customer health and safety requirements.
Maintain safe plant, equipment, and systems of work.
Ensure all employees receive adequate training, supervision, and information.
Provide sufficient and appropriate resources to support our health and safety commitments.
Promote open communication and consultation with employees and their representatives, in line with ISO 45001 principles.
Monitor health and safety performance through audits, inspections, and investigations.
Encourage near miss and incident reporting to support continuous improvement.
Health and safety is an integral part of our Integrated Management System (IMS), which also encompasses environmental and quality systems. We actively involve our workforce to promote understanding, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Employees are expected to follow safety procedures, cooperate fully, and report hazards or unsafe conditions without fear of reprisal.
This policy is communicated to all staff, made available to interested parties, and reviewed annually or following significant changes.
We maintain this through ongoing development of our Health and Safety Management System and regular audits to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
